Section 1: Identification
Product identifier: This document covers all closed cell sponge rubber, solid rubber, composite plastic, acrylic, and bonded recycled material manufactured by Comsero Inc under the trade names mcSquares, Bubble Bond, and True Cubes. These materials are made from polymeric mixes including but not limited to Neoprene, Nitrile, PVC, EPDM, Chlorinated Polyethylene, Styrene-Butadiene, ECH (Epichlorhydyin), Polyethylene, EVA, and Acrylic.
Manufacturer: Comsero Inc 2150 Market Street Denver, Colorao 80205 – Telephone: 877-537-2227 Email: email@example.com. Website: mcSquares.com
Recommended use: mcSquares, Bubble Bond, and True Cubes products and materials are used in a variety of industries included but not limited to office supplies, construction, automotive, aerospace, and educational supplies. Our products are manufactured per specific industry specifications e.g ASTM D1056, ASTM D6576, ASTM D-4236
These products are classified as “article” according to Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations, OSHA Part 1910.1200, Page 463 . "Article": a manufactured item other than a fluid or particle: (i) which is formed to a specific shape or design during manufacture; (ii) which has end use function(s) dependent in whole or in part upon its shape or design during end use; and (iii) which under normal conditions of use does not release more than very small quantities, e.g., minute or trace amounts of a hazardous chemical (as determined under paragraph (d) of this section), and does not pose a physical hazard or health risk to employees." Restrictions on Use: mcSquares, Bubble Bond, and True Cubes should be used in accordance with responsible and safe industry standards.
Section 2: Hazard(s) Identification
mcSquares, Bubble Bond, and True Cubes represent NO HAZARDS when used in accordance with this document and published TDS (Technical Data Sheets). They can be considered as “articles” per Title 29 CFR 1910.1200 which says
"Article": a manufactured item other than a fluid or particle: (i) which is formed to a specific shape or design during manufacture; (ii) which has end use function(s) dependent in whole or in part upon its shape or design during end use; and (iii) which under normal conditions of use does not release more than very small quantities, e.g. , minute or trace amounts of a hazardous chemical (as determined under paragraph (d) of this section), and does not pose a physical hazard or health risk to employees."
Section 3: Composition/Information on Ingredients
mcSquares, Bubble Bond, and True Cubes are made from polymeric blends and/or individual polymers including but not limited to Neoprene, Nitrile, PVC, EPDM, Chlorinated Polyethylene, Styrene-Butadiene, ECH (Epichlorhydyin), Polyethylene, EVA, ethanol, polyethylene glycol, glycerol, and Acrylic. Refer to individual product technical sheets for Tackie Markers and Anti-Gravity Dry-Erase Markers
Section 4: First-Aid Measures
Inhalation: Upon inhalation of the Anti-Gravity or Tackie Markers supply
The ingestion of mcSquares, Bubble Bond, and True Cubes should be avoided even though the material is inert and can be regarded as toxicologically harmless except for some flame retardant grades containing additives which could be harmful if swallowed. Physical Contact with mcSquares, Bubble Bond, and True Cubes are considered not to be skin irritants but under some circumstances foams can have a minor abrasive effect on skin. Particles of foam may cause physical irritation if they get into eyes. The Anti-Gravity and Tackie markers do not contain contaminates that would be toxic or corrosive if exposed. In rare cases skin irritation may occur.
Eye Contact: If ink from the Anti-Gravity or Tackie Markers get in the eye, rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water.
Section 5: Fire-Fighting Measures
Decomposition of mcSquares, Bubble Bond, and True Cubes will occur at about 300° C. Above this temperature mcSquares, Bubble Bond, and True Cubes will pyrolyse oxidatively to produce Carbon Monoxide and water plus small amounts of various hydrocarbons and aldehydes. The evolved gases may ignite, and if they do they will provide heat of combustion pyrolysing more foam and any other material in the vicinity. Under flaming conditions the main combustion products are Carbon Dioxide and water(2), although if insufficient oxygen is present, or when the flame is extinguished, the smoke may contain appreciable quantities of Carbon Monoxide, Acrolein and other aldehydes. The Anti-Gravity Markers contain flammable liquids including ethanol and glycerol. For some products within mcSquares, Bubble Bond, and True Cubes family of products burning can be accompanied by the release of flaming molten droplets of polymer which could ignite adjacent flammable materials. In a full- scale fire these materials can burn to give dense black smoke and acrid fumes. These comments can only be of a general nature since the conditions of a real fire cannot be fully predicted.
Suitable Extinguishing Media : Unrestricted for all products excluding the Anti-Gravity Dry Erase markers. Do not use water. CO2, sand, and extinguishing powder can instead be used to extinguish these markers.
Section 6: Accidental Release Measures
